Why I’m a BAFFLER: “Contrary to what people think, I didn’t join BAFFLE because I could fill in forms ‘as Gaeilge’. No, the reason was while at a reading in Harney’s one night I won the raffle and the prize was a year’s free membership of BAFFLE. I was DELIGHTED!
After winning this big prize it would have been rude not to renew my membership the following year and I’ve been there since. But if they increase the price of membership to more than €10 I will definitely have to consider pulling out.
Seriously though, I am not really into serious poetry but I love the comical, irreverent stuff – great for a laugh.”
