Sean Gaffney

Tipperary man Sean made his home in Loughrea quite a few years ago. He is a former BAFFLE Chairperson and not only are his poems featured in the BAFFLE books but he was a major contributor to their publication. His interests in GAA and golf have superseded his poetry writing of late but we hope this will be put to right in the not too distant future. He also likes reading, cycling and social drinking. Rudyard Kipling and his rendering of ‘IF’ are his favourite choices for poet and poem.
When asked about his reason for joining BAFFLE he says “Bertie Kelly dared me to write a poem on the Rod Licence dispute of 1986”. Dares were a common reason to join BAFFLE!
