Martin Toher
Martin has been with BAFFLE since its beginnings in 1984 and is a master of the comic poem. Not writing poetry as much of late but we all hope the bug will bite again soon. His work is published in the BAFFLE books. He likes reading and when he reads poetry he turns to John Milton and his favourite poem 'L’Allegro'. So was it Milton who inspired Martin to join a poetry society? Not exactly – his honest answer is “BAFFLE started in the nearest pub to where I lived at the time”
