Joe Kelly

Joe was there right at the very beginning in 1984. A poet with the unique skill of being able to write a winning poem at the bar counter with ten minutes to go before a BAFFLE reading starts. A former Connacht Rugby Prop turned poet (Wow!). Still very involved in the rugby scene but also interested in hurling and sport in general. Likes ‘When You Are Old’ by William Butler Yeats but denies he reads this regularly at the after-match sessions! Likes his pints, the poetry and having the craic with his fellow Bafflers.
