Mary B. Murphy R.I.P.

It is with regret and sadness that I advise our members of the recent and untimely death of Mary B. Murphy. Mary was an ardent admirer of BAFFLE and honoured us with opening our 2006 Festival as President of Irish-Argentine Society. This, of course, was the year we celebrated the bi-centenary of the birth of Fr. Anthony Fahy who was a key figure in Argentina in the 1850s.

Mary had close connections with Loughrea having spent part of her youth here attending the Convent of Mercy school. Our deepest sympathy to Mary’s family and many friends.
